Refunds

Last updated 8 September 2026

Nothing on this site is for sale yet. The seven web tools are free, and Pro is not purchasable on either the web or the Android app. This page sets out the policy that will apply to a Pro purchase when it opens, so that anyone buying knows the terms before they do rather than afterwards.

The window

Thirty days from the date of purchase, for any reason or none. You do not have to explain what went wrong, and we will not ask you to prove you tried.

Thirty days because the seven web tools are free and unlimited: you can find out whether this software suits you long before you pay us anything. Pro adds batch work, a searchable-PDF output from OCR, compression to a size or a dpi you choose, and password protect and remove — and a month is long enough to put those through real work rather than a trial.

How to ask

Write to [email protected] from the address you bought with, or use the receipt Paddle emailed you — it links to their buyer portal, where you can request a refund directly. Either route reaches the same place.

We will reply within two working days. If we are slower than that, write again; it means the first one did not arrive.

Who pays it back

Paddle. They are the merchant of record for Pro, which means they take the payment, handle any sales tax or VAT, and issue the refund — so Paddle is the name on your card statement, not pdf-iq, and Paddle is who returns the money.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. We cannot send it anywhere else. How long it then takes to appear is set by your bank rather than by us or by Paddle.

What happens to Pro afterwards

Pro is a one-time unlock covering both the website and the Android app, so a refund removes it from both. Anything you made while you had it is yours and stays on your device — we have no copy of it to take back, and no way to reach the files you saved.

The seven web tools are not affected. They are free, and a refund changes nothing about your access to them.

Where this does not apply

If the Android app ever sells anything through Google Play, Google's refund process governs that purchase and not this page. It does not today: Pro is bought on this website, and nothing is purchasable inside the app.

Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to the rights you already have, not instead of them. In the UK and EU that includes a fourteen-day right to cancel a distance purchase. Nothing here reduces that, and where the two differ, whichever is better for you applies.
